These Terms & Conditions govern use of K12 Focus websites and services, including SMS-based AskDistrict demonstrations such as AskHolton.

Use of the service
K12 Focus provides informational and demonstration services intended to make approved school-district information easier to access. Responses may be generated with automated and artificial-intelligence systems. Although the service is designed to use trusted information, users should verify important, time-sensitive, safety-related, legal, financial, or official decisions with the school district or other authoritative source.
SMS Terms
K12 Focus offers user-initiated SMS information services. For the AskHolton demonstration, a user may begin by texting ASK to (785) 508-1534 after seeing the published call to action. After enrollment, users may send questions about publicly available school-district information and receive automated responses.
Message frequency varies based on user activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Users should not send confidential student records, medical information, passwords, financial information, or other sensitive personal information through the public SMS service.
Automated responses
SMS and web responses may be generated automatically from indexed or connected information sources. Information can change, and automated systems can make mistakes. When a response is important or appears uncertain, users should confirm it with the district or source identified by the service.
Acceptable use
Do not use K12 Focus services for unlawful activity, harassment, abuse, attempts to disrupt the service, or attempts to obtain information you are not authorized to access.
Availability and changes
K12 Focus may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features as services evolve. These terms may also be updated when necessary. The effective date above identifies the current version.
Privacy
Use of the service is also subject to the K12 Focus Privacy Policy.
